| Sony DADC acquires former Deluxe Facilities in the UK |

Sony DADC to start supply chain services in UK by July 1st
London, UK; June 30, 2006 - Sony DADC announces the acquisition of a DVD replication and a
distribution facility in the United Kingdom. The purchase of the two former Deluxe facilities in
Southwater and Enfield marks an important milestone in Sony DADC's strategy for offering full
service solutions to the entertainment industry in the United Kingdom. Sony DADC commences services
from its new locations on July 1st.

solutions. The new facilities are important for us in improving and expanding our product and
services portfolio for the entertainment industry in the UK. Merging these facilities with the Sony
DADC network will further enable us to offer enhanced supply chain options like Finishing on
demand, fast replenishment and Direct to Retail shipments. These services will be offered both for
the current portfolio of DVD and CD products as well as for Blu-ray Disc," highlighted Dieter Daum,
President Sony Disc And Digital Solutions. "Southwater and Enfield are examples of our commitment
to the UK market and to our UK customers."
Building on the strength of the current leadership in both Southwater and Enfield, the newly
founded Sony DADC UK with Chris Reiser as MD will incorporate Sony DADC's current sales and
authoring office in the heart of London. "Establishing a manufacturing presence and a distribution
centre in the United Kingdom by continuing these Deluxe operations and making them part of the Sony
DADC network is fundamental to getting closer to our UK customers and offering complete supply
chain solutions to the largest entertainment market in Europe," stated Chris Reiser, who also holds
the post of Executive Vice President Sony DADC International.
This acquisition, combined with the manufacturing cluster in Salzburg, Austria and the three
existing distribution centers in Madrid, Frankfurt and Paris, makes Sony DADC a preferred choice
for entertainment and content companies who are looking for smart supply chain solutions in Europe.
