Sarah Bettens's album 'Scream' to be honoured with the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) at
this year's MIDEM in Cannes. The album is Flow Records third title with n-CD technology.
Cannes, France; January 20th, 2006 - As one of Europe's most internationally appealing young
musicians Sarah Bettens will be honoured at Europe's prestigious music conference MIDEM for her
successful album 'Scream'. The album was published with Sony DADC's n-CD solution. This technology
is used by Flow Records to enhance the album experience and intensify the label's relationship with
Sarah Bettens fans.
Recognizing the benefits of an enlarged fan community, Flow Records has taken the important
step of incorporating n-CD technology in order to achieve this goal. 'Scream' features an
exclusive, free downloadable remix of the track 'Turn Around' which has never been released on CD
before. Furthermore, a link to the artist's Web site is reserved exclusively for Sarah Bettens'
fans who have bought the European album. "Over 10% of our album consumers took advantage of the
n-CD bonus content, 60% of them then registered and signed up for future promotions. That's quite a
stunning rate!" Says Neeltje Mooring, Label Manager from Netherlands-based Flow Records. "It was
important for us to know who our fans are and where they are from, their point of purchase and how
to get in touch with them. n-CD is ideal for achieving these objectives."
n-CD was designed to provide music labels a cost-efficient way in both increasing the value
of their albums and obtaining marketing-relevant data for building a strong fan base. n-CD delivers
value and collects data of incomparable quality on voluntarily participating consumers via the Web.
A unique serialization of the discs enables both the customisation of fan-oriented marketing
programs and ensures that bonus features are reserved for users of the original album discs only.
This invisible machine-readable ID allows the disc to be linked directly to an exclusive and
secured Internet bonus site via an automated authorisation process.
