"With growing global sales volumes of DVD drive units, the demand for DVD-ROMs is also on the rise," says Bernhard Wiesinger, product manager SecuROM. DVD-ROM drive penetration is on the rise with games publishers moving to the DVD-format. The industry is already responding to the heightened demand for DVD-ROMs by end-consumers. "Surveys have shown that most users prefer one DVD-ROM to a multi-disc set of CD-ROMs. Software publishers have recognized the increased demand for DVDs -and SecuROM is here to provide them with a secure copy control solution, " so Wiesinger.
