Media Transfer

FTP Server

To transfer your components to Sony DADC digitally, via the Internet, all you have to do is link up with our FTP input server.

Just contact your Customer Services representative to find out how to prepare the data correctly and to get your username and password. You'll be asked about the components you're going to transfer and the order for which they should be used. Your transmission folder will contain some – if not all – of the following information:

  • contact address
  • Customer Service contact at Sony DADC
  • catalogue number
  • product, format
  • CD label specifications, colours
  • type of artwork, number of pages, colours
  • requested packaging
Please inform your Customer Services representative as soon as the transmission has been successfully completed, since files more than 5 days old are automatically deleted.

PLEASE NOTE: all files coming from Apple Macintosh computers should be compressed (Aladdin Stuffit recommended) to avoid data loss.

Software Tools:
We highly recommend the use of (free) FTP Software Tools like WS_FTP Pro (Win) and Fetch (Mac).

You can also log in to the Sony DADC input server via your Internet browser. Simply input the URL in the following way: ftp://username:password@ftp.sonydadc.com

ISDN

You can also send your data (label film and artwork) via ISDN. If you wish to transmit data in this way, please inform Customer Service.

e-mail

We do not recommend the use of e-mail for data transfers, due to possible transmission delays. We would encourage you to use ISDN or FTP. If you send your input media via e-mail, please send it directly to your Customer Services representative.

Mail

You can also mail your input media to us, at the following address:

Sony DADC
Name of your Customer Services Contact
Sonystrasse 20
A-5081 Anif
Austria

To avoid unnecessary delays, please remember to include the name of your Customer Services Contact.
